Tis' the Season for Sore Throats and the Flu

With the unpredictably fluctuating weather we've been having, it is no wonder that the majority of us are sick. Against my better judgement, I conceded to getting that ever dreading flu shot this year, fully aware that I am one of those people who immediately get sick after taking the shot.

Low and behold, here I am ... sore throat, swollen glands, pounding headache and of course the harsh cough that brings that oh-so-rusty taste to the back of your throat! Not a fun morning. However, I must say the last thing I expected to help me is actually making me feel somewhat comfortable in my sickened state. Dove Spiced Chai Tea. Now, I am in no way, shape or form a tea drinker. I will choose my coffee over tea despite how sick I am. but of course, there is no coffee in the house and if I don't feel well enough to go get myself some Day-Quil than I am without a doubt, not leaving the house for my cup of Joe!

Chai Tea it is! I had a few pouches left over from my starter kit, which I sadly haven't done anything but eat yet! It was a long shot and I definitely didn't think I was going to like the taste. The only other time I tasted Chai Tea (or any type of spiced tea for that matter) was at Dunkin Donuts, a few years back. Needlesstosay, I burnt my tongue and didn't even make it through the second sip. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

I must admit, I actually really like this tea. It's not overly spicy but my throat felt instantly coated. No annoying aftertaste. A little bit of foam on top but that may be my fault for adding two packets to the same 6 ounces of water! If you find yourself in a similar position to the way I'm feeling right about now, here is what I suggest you do ...

1. Order yourself some Dove Chai Tea Click Here To Order
2. Visit Grandma's Home Remedies Website ... Grandma always knows best!
3. Do not leave the house unless you are going to the doctor. There's no need to infect anyone else!
4. Stay in bed and watch some good movies or shows for the next 24 hours.
5. Never underestimate the power of chicken soup!
6. Leave some comments on how you got yourself better!

I hope my advice helps and you feel better when you wake up in the morning.
